Community Service

Today I went on a field trip during 3rd block. I’m an student ambassador, which is an organization at my school where students are able to represent Ben C Rain in a positive light as well as recruit future students and tell them about everything my school has to offer. Every semester we have to do a community service project where we volunteer anywhere in the community. Today we volunteered at Eichold-Mertz Magnet School, a elementary school, where they had a Christmas extravaganza for the children. Our job was to help at the gingerbread man station. We had to set the items up as well as assist them with anything they needed help with. After everything was done we helped clean up and prepare for the next group. In conclusion, it was fun and we got to take home our own gingerbread man kit.
