Essay Evaluation

Today I had a “conference” with Mr.Rease about my Color Purple Prose essay. My score was an 8 which is a 90. As he went over my essay, I noticed many errors that I need to work on. Being more precise was a big issue as well as saying “the author uses diction” instead of “the author uses effective word choice.” If I improve in those areas as well as on my vocabulary, then I know for sure I can be a good writer. In the continuation, of my evaluation he recognized some of the good qualities of my essay. For example, how I followed the outline and provided everything he asked for. All in all, I am pretty satisfied with my grade and I will continue to improve on my writing.
