My Idea of the American Dream

The American dream to me is the opportunities, equality, and freedom that the United States offer, in which allows citizens to achieve their goals and aspirations. The American dream is what urges immigrants or foreigners to come to the United States. They believe that there is better hope and life will be easier here. However, the American dream also has its down falls too. It sometimes pressure us into reaching our goals and aspirations. This causes many people to become workaholics and/or miserable in their lives trying to accomplish the goals of the country. Discrimination of race or ethnic backgrounds result in many racial protests and hate crimes. Things like this causes an decrease in the likability of the American dream.
