Typical Friday

Today class was good. We continued our reading on Macbeth, which revealed a lot of character development amongst Macbeth himself. He realizes that the prophecy the witches told him about depicts that the line of royalty would go to Banquo’s sons. This means that everything he did would be for Banquo’s family instead of his. So begins to be more willing to sacrifice people around him to stay in his position as king and change the prophecy. He doesn’t fall weak to his wife anymore, in fact, he is the one ordering the killings and is “in control of his own fate.”  The play is so interesting and intense. No matter where my class stop, there’s always a cliff hanger that leaves me wanting more.
