The Yellow Wallpaper

Today we began reading the short story, The Yellow Wallpaper. It is a story that captured my attention from the very first page, considering the fact that I love suspenseful books. The story consists of diary entries made by a woman who was suffering from severe depression but is constantly being denied help by her husband who is a physician. By being constantly shut down, her condition worsens as a result she starts to obsess over the hideous yellow wallpaper. The story intensifies as we, readers, see her down spiral into a lunatic and try to figure out the mystery of why she is so obsessed with the wallpaper. I must say that I am flabbergasted by the way the story is shaping up. I am ready to see what’s going to happen next.
