Today, we discussed what is it that makes up a man. We came to the conclusion that independence, responsibility, protection, reliability, and security are all traits that make up a man. As a class, we also inferred that the reason Lyons was considered a boy was because he didn’t have a job to provide for himself or his girlfriend and that he was dependent on others to provide for his household. After we settled that, we continued to read. We got a look into Cory’s way of thinking and Troy’s past and outlook on life. Details were revealed on Troy’s athletic life that showed us readers why Troy is so hard on Cory.
