A Lesson Before Dying Chapter 1-3 Reflection

Just by reading chapters 1-3, I feel compelled to continue reading. The author revealed that Grant really regrets coming back to stay with his aunt. He reveals that Grant's plan wasn't to come back after college. Instead, he would rather be somewhere else. I was also really disappointed when Mr. Henri was talking to Miss Emma. He really seemed uninterested in what she had to say. It gave me a look into his character as a rude, arrogant man. I am looking forward to see whether or not Mr. Henri is going to talk to Mr. Sam for Miss Emma and how Grant will be able to teach Jefferson how to be a man.
